I have been inspired by Amanda Simmons and her drop vessels. Since she lives in Scotland, I can't easily take a class from her, so I have been experimenting on my own with creating drop vessels, with some success. In order to finish them as nicely as she does, some big time cold working is necessary. So, I finally broke down and ordered a lap grinder from His Glassworks. Its on order and should be here in a few weeks. In the meantime, I can experiment and get some vessels ready. Will post pix of those soon.
